Stress is like a dark chocolate, a little bite of it won’t kill you. In fact, a little taste of it here and there can be good for you.

Stress in an evitable part of our lives, we have to learn to deal with it and manage it accordingly. But no need to worry because we have a handy stress buster so you don’t have to let it rule your life. Work out on things that’s bothering you and find ways to cope.

Look after your health, regular exercise can do wonders. It is probably the most effective way to reduce tension. Brisk walking can knock out stress and helps improve your mood. Breathe. Breathe in and out slowly and deeply helps reduce the tension by oxygenating your blood and clearing your mind. Join some class for some activities like yoga, aerobics, dancing or swimming. Try any of these activities which you can enjoy. Sweat out your stress.

Eat healthy. This is the perfect time to stay away from junk foods. Avoid excessive caffeine or any form of stimulants as they may cause anxiety. Wide variety of fruits and vegetables should be made available and recommended to reduce stress. Processed foods, high sugary or foods with heavy spices should also be avoided. Hydrate by drinking plenty of water. When hunger and dehydration strikes, it can provoke aggressiveness and feelings of anxiety and stress.

LOL. Laugh out loud. A good laugh is a good stress buster. It can decrease levels of stress-causing hormones. Do not take things too seriously. Watch funny videos or get connected with happy people. Laughing or smiling is truly one of the best medicines. It increases the blood flow to the brain and releases endorphins. Not only it relieves tension but it also strengthens the immune system. Humor can heal, plus, it is always fun to laugh.

Get enough sleep. Take a nap as frequent as possible and as needed. Sleep not only rests your body but it gives the brain enough time to organize its thoughts. Give your body and mind the rest it deserves. Taking naps has also shown to reduce cortisol levels which is a stress relief.

Stop juggling. Do things at your own pace and take time to accomplish tasks one at a time. Ask yourself, do you really need to do things simultaneously? Or you can jumpstart an effective time management strategy to accomplish the things you need to. Putting in mind all the tasks at the same time will cause you stress. So make sure to just stick with a proper time management scheme.

Reward yourself. Always remember that you need time to recharge and energize yourself. Get on a relaxing bath, pick your favorite book and have a good read, listen to your favorite music. Music can do wonders with our mood; it can help you instantly feel good. Simply put aside work, housekeeping concerns and allow yourself to fully relax.

Do not deprive yourself of the time it needs to recover and re-energize. It is the most precious gift to give yourself. After all, your health and state of mind is what truly matters.
